NETWORKING

Cat5Networking links two or more computers for the purpose of sharing information and peripherals such as printers and modems. Once you have a home computer network you can:
  • Share files - A network makes it easy to share files between different computers, eliminating the need to copy files from one computer to another.
  • Share printers - One or more printers can be shared across users on a network. This takes away the need to copy files to another computer so that they can be printed.
  • Play networked computer games - With a network you can play head-to-head against the users of other computers on the network. If you're connected to the internet you can match your skills against players all over the world!
  • Share internet access - With a network, users can share a connection to the Internet using one line and one Internet account.
Computer networks can be wired or wireless. Wired networks typically provide maximum performance whereas wireless networks provide greater flexibility.

Easy to install and much more flexible than a standard modem, Broadband ADSL forms a direct network connection between you and the Internet. Unlike a standard modem, you are able to use your telephone on the same line and at the same time as the broadband is connected.
